VACATION OF A PORTION OF PEACEFUL LANE, PEACEFUL HILLS ADDITION
WHEREAS, the City of Chanhassen has initiated a petition
for vacation of a portion of the street known as Peaceful Lane as
contained in the Peaceful Hills Addition and as depicted and more
particularly described in Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on said petition on
November 2, 1987; and
WHEREAS, said public hearing was preceded by two weeks'
published and posted notice as required by Section 412.851 of
Minnesota Statutes; and
WHEREAS, there is no public interest to be served by the
continued public ownership of that portion of the above described
right-of-way.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that any and all of that
the above described right-of-way is hereby vacated.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Chanhassen this 2nd day of November, 1987.

That part of the east half of Peaceful Lane (formerly Redman Lane)
described as follows:
A strip of land 33.00 feet in width northwesterly and westerly of
and adjoining Lots 5, 6 and 7, VINELAND and lying between the
northerly extension of the west line of said Lot 7 and a line
drawn at right angles to the west line of said,Lot 5 from a point
on the west line of said Lot 5 distant 388.56 feet southwesterly
of the northwest corner of said Lot 5.
That part of Peaceful Lane (formerly Redman Lane) and Pleasant View Road
lying easterly and southerly of the following described line:
Beginning at a point on the west line of Lot 5, VINELAND distant
388.56 feet southwesterly of the northwest corner of said Lot 5;
thence North 18 degrees 18 minutes 28 seconds East, along the said
west line, 107.79 feet; thence northerly along a non -tangential
curve concave to the west, radius 1070.00 feet, central angle 13
degrees 05 minutes 33 seconds, 244.35 feet to a point of reverse
curvature, and the chord of said curve bears North 11 degrees 00
minutes 49 seconds East; thence along a reverse curve, concave to
the southeast, radius 30.00 feet, central angle 70 degrees 45
minutes 46 seconds, 40.72 feet; thence North 82 degrees 17 minutes
45 seconds East 43.68 feet; thence easterly along a tangential
curve, concave to the south, radius 1204.46 feet, central angle 10
degrees 24 minutes 04 seconds, 218.65 feet to a point on the
northerly extension of the east line of said Lot 5, distant 15.76
feet north of the northeast corner of said Lot 5; thence south
along said northerly extension to said northeast corner and there
terminating.
