Samantha DiMaggio called the meeting to order at 5:41 p.m.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Eric Anderson, David Benedict, Nick Gardino, John Kroll, Luke Bame

APPROVAL OF AGENDA:
APPROVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AGENDA DATED SEPTEMBER 16, 2025
Commissioner Bame moved, and Commissioner Gardino seconded to approve the Agenda of the
Economic Development Commission meeting dated September 16, 2025, as presented. All voted in favor,
and the motion was carried unanimously with a vote of 5 to 0.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
APPROVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MINUTES DATED JULY 8, 2025
Commissioner Kroll moved, and Commissioner Gardino seconded to approve the Minutes of the
Economic Development Commission meeting dated July 8, 2025, as presented. All voted in favor, and
the motion was carried unanimously with a vote of 5 to 0.

SUMMARY
The EDC will be meeting Charlie Hansen at Dandy Lion Coffee Warehouse, 7924 Kerber Blvd,
Chanhassen, MN 55317. Mr. Hansen will give a presentation on his small business and what it's like
being a local entrepreneur in Chanhassen.
BACKGROUND
Charlie Hansen - Local Entrepreneur & Owner - Dandy Lion Coffee
Charlie Hansen blends design, storytelling, and grit in Minnesota’s vibrant scene. A Minnetonka High
alum, he studied architecture at NDSU before mastering film production and media marketing at
MCAD.
He ran his own video company for 12 years, then pivoted in 2020 to found Dandy Lion Coffee, roasting
fresh and making real community connections. By day, he also hustles in sales and ops at family-owned
Hansen Hometech, building lasting homes alongside his dad, Gary Hansen.
A devoted husband and proud father to two girls and a boy, Charlie’s now in Watertown but keeps
strong ties to Chanhassen, rooted deep in family, faith, and the work that makes a lasting impact.
