04.14.2026_EDC_MinutesCHANHASSEN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING April 14, 2026 Acting Chair Benedict called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT: David Benedict, John Kroll, Rebekah Cohen Israel, and Tony Hallen MEMBERS ABSENT: Nick Gardino STAFF PRESENT: Samantha DiMaggio and Jenny Potter PUBLIC PRESENT: Erik Hansen OATHS OF OFFICE: Jenny Potter, City Clerk, performed the Oath of Office for new Commissioners Rebekah Cohen Israel and Tony Hallen. DISCUSSION/GENERAL BUSINESS ITEMS: ELECTION OF 2026 CHAIR & VICE CHAIR Commissioner Kroll moved, and Commissioner Hallen seconded the nomination of Commissioner Benedict as the Chair of the Economic Development Commission. The motion was carried with a vote of 3 to 0. Commissioner Benedict abstained. Commissioner Benedict moved, and Commissioner Hallen seconded the nomination of Commissioner Kroll as the Vice Chair of the Economic Development Commission. The motion was carried with a vote of 3 to 0. Commissioner Kroll abstained. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: APPROVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AGENDA DATED APRIL 10, 2026 Commissioner Kroll moved, and Commissioner Hallen seconded, to approve the Agenda of the Economic Development Commission meeting dated April 10, 2026, as presented. All voted in favor, and the motion was carried unanimously 4 to 0. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: APPROVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MINUTES DATED MARCH 10, 2026 Commissioner Kroll moved, and Commissioner Hallen seconded, to approve the Minutes of the Economic Development Commission meeting dated March 10, 2026, as presented. All voted in favor, and the motion was carried unanimously 4 to 0. VISITOR PRESENTATIONS: ERIK HANSEN - CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, SOUTHWEST TRANSIT (SWT) Economic Development Commission – April 10, 2026 2 ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Hallen moved, and Commissioner Cohen Israel seconded to adjourn the meeting.
