VISITOR PRESENTATIONS: Introduction of New Adult Day Center Location/Plans by Local Non-Profit 3 Sarika Patel shared with the Commissioners about her new non-profit, Shasa’s Adult Daycare, which will be located at 13638 Park Road, Chanhassen, MN 55317. She chose Chanhassen because she saw a compelling need for this service in Carver County. She has secured a large space, and her goal is to support seniors with a social community and a welcoming environment. This will be the only adult day center in Carver County, as many centers closed following COVID. This day center will have its own transportation to help seniors get to the center. Carver County Health and Human Services, Office of Aging, Kara Cassidy Kara provided an update for the Commissioners regarding some of the illnesses being passed around the community at this time, as well as sharing some information on preventative care.
