A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO A GRANT
AGREEMENT WITH THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, in 2008, Minnesota’s voters passed the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment
(Legacy Amendment) to the Minnesota Constitution; and
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Council was awarded funding from Minnesota Clean Water, Land
and Legacy Amendment funds for a Water Efficiency Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, municipalities that are served by a municipal water system are eligible to apply for
funding; and
WHEREAS, the City of Chanhassen proposes to use the $25,000 to offer rebates for eligible water
device replacements that reduce water use; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to
execute the Agreement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Chanhassen City Council this 8th day of June 2026.
