A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO A GRANT
AGREEMENT WITH CARVER COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, Funding for the grant program comes from State grant dollars (LRDG and SCORE)
and the Carver County Solid Waste Fee; and
WHEREAS, Carver County Environmental Services requested and received waste reduction and
recycling funding proposals from all 21 Carver County cities and townships; and
WHEREAS, Carver County staff reviewed the proposals and provided funding recommendations
to the County Board based on how each proposal fit within the State Solid Waste Hierarchy; and
WHEREAS, the County Board approved staff recommended funding amounts; and
WHEREAS, the City of Chanhassen proposes to use the $27,000 to support waste reduction and
recycling initiatives; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to
execute the Agreement.
