A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ENTERINING INTO A LICENSE WITH THE
MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES FOR THE CITY OF
CHANHASSEN’S PUBLIC WATERMAIN ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 5
WHEREAS, there is existing City of Chanhassen public watermain along the north side of State
Highway 5; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is requiring a license be obtained for
the watermain to cross a public water; and
WHEREAS, the watermain is being worked on as part of Carver County’s Highway 5
Improvement Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chanhassen City Council hereby authorizes
entering into a license with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for the public watermain
along State Highway 5 and further resolves to grant the City’s Public Works Director the authority to
sign the license on behalf of the City of Chanhassen.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Chanhassen City Council this 18th day of May, 2026.
