ORDINANCE NO. 763
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY FEES AND CHARGES FOR 2026
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANHASSEN, MINNESOTA ORDAINS:
Section 1.
(A) Policy and Purpose. By the enactment of this Ordinance, the City Council intends
to establish fees and charges required by the City Code for the year 2026 and to
comply with Minnesota Statutes, 462.353, subd. 4.
(B) Fees and Charges. The fees and charges for the City for the year 2026 were
originally established by Ordinance No. 754 and the City desires to amend the
fees listed under “Licenses” as follows:
Animal Control Fees 2026
Dog & Cat Impounding Fee
First Offense $50
Second Offense $100
Third Offense $150
Fourth Offense $200
Fifth & Subsequent Offense
(In 12-month period)
$250
Licenses 2026
Gambling Premises Permit Approval
Background Investigation Fee Annual $250
Kennel (Commercial) Annual $25
Liquor License - On Sale Annual License Period is May 1-April 30
3.2% Malt Liquor Annual $410

Brew Pub Off Sale Annual $250
Cocktail Room Annual $500
Community Festival Per Event $50

(C) Fees and Charges. The fees and charges for the City for the year 2026 were
originally established by Ordinance No. 754 and the City desires to amend the
fees listed under “Parks & Recreation Fees” as follows:
City Hall Room Rental 2026
Senior Center Resident Damage Deposit $50 $40/hour
Senior Center Non- Resident Damage Deposit $50 $50/hour
Training Room Resident Damage Deposit $50 $40/hour
Training Room Non-Resident Damage Deposit $50 $50/hour
Additional Senior Center Room Resident Damage Deposit $50 $40/hour
Additional Senior Center Room Non-Resident Damage Deposit $50 $50/hour
All room rentals at City Hall will include a $20 per hour staffing fee
Section 2. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and
publication.
