A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
2026 GREAT PLAINS BLVD/LAKE DRIVE EAST REHABILITATION PROJECT NO. 26-02
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Project No. 26-02 (2026 Great Plains
Blvd/Lake Drive East Rehabilitation Project), bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to
law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

Northwest Asphalt, Inc. $874,482.76
GMH Asphalt, Corp. $874,825.25
Valley Paving, Inc. $924,582.50
Bituminous Roadways, Inc. $978,774.50
WHEREAS, Northwest Asphalt, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder with a bid amount to be
awarded of $874,482.76;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Chanhassen City Council:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Northwest
Asphalt, Inc. in the name of the City of Chanhassen for the 2026 Great Plains Blvd/Lake Drive
East Rehabilitation Project No. 26-02 according to the plans and specifications therefore
approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits
made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest
bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Chanhassen City Council this 23rd day of March, 2026.
