2026-17.docx1 CITY OF CHANHASSEN CARVER AND HENNEPIN COUNTIES, MINNESOTA DATE: March 9, 2026 RESOLUTION NO: 2026-17 MOTION BY: McDonald SECONDED BY: Kimber A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT LONGACRES DRIVE BE DESIGNATED A CITY OF CHANHHASSEN MUNICIPAL STATE AID STREET WHEREAS, The City of Chanhassen (City) has an overall street network comprising of approximately 117 miles of improved roadway based on our latest Certificate of Mileage; and WHEREAS, The Municipal State Aid (MSA) program allows 20% of its improved roadway milage, not including Trunk Highway or County Turnbacks, be designated as MSA streets; and WHEREAS, The City has 1.21 miles of available MSA street mileage eligibility based on its latest Certificate of Mileage; and WHEREAS, Longacres Drive has a total length of 0.93 miles and fits the suitability of being on the City’s MSA system. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Chanhassen that Longacres Drive, between Trunk Highway 41 and Galpin Boulevard be, and hereby established, located, and designated as a Municipal State Sid Street of the City of Chanhassen, subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Transportation of the State of Minnesota. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Commissioner of Transportation for consideration, and that upon his/her approval of the designation of said road, that same be maintained as a Municipal State Aid Street of the City of Chanhassen.
