Re: Development Application for Avienda Apartments
The purpose of this letter is to notify you that pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 15.99, subd. 3(f)
the City of Chanhassen is extending the time period for review of your application for
preliminary plat, final plat, and site plan review, for a 412-unit apartment development on
property located generally at the intersection of Lyman Boulevard and Powers Boulevard.
The reason for this extension is that the city requires additional time to review the project
proposal and associated documentation.
Based on your application date of April 18th, the initial 60-day deadline for action is June
17th, 2025. Your application is scheduled for review by the Planning Commission on
June 3rd and by the City Council on June 23rd. As a result of meeting scheduling, the City
is enacting an additional 60 days for review from the date of expiration of the city’s
initial 60 days for review provided under Minn. Stat. § 15.99, which brings the final
review deadline to August 16th, 2025, for the city to make a final decision.
