CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANHASSEN, MINNESOTA
HELD: JuIy 28,2025
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular or special meeting of the City Council of
the City of City of Chanhassen, Carver and Hennepin Counties, Minnesota, was duly held at City
Hall on July 28, 2025, at7:00 P.M., for the purpose, in part, of calling for a public hearing on
proposed property tax abatements.
The following members were present:
Ryan

Schubert
McDonald
and the following were absent:
None
Member McDonald introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2025.54
RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
ON PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENTS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council (the "Council") of the City of Chanhassen,
Minnesota (the "City"), as follows:
1 Recitals.
(a) Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.1812 through 469.1815, as amended, both
inclusive, authorize the City, upon satisfaction of certain conditions, to grant an abatement
of all or a part of the taxes levied by the City on real property within its boundaries.
(b) It is a legal requirement that the City hold a public hearing prior to adoption
of a resolution granting any property tax abatements.
2. Hearinq. A public hearing on the consideration of the property tax abatement will
be held at the time and place set forth in the Notice of Hearing attached hereto as Exhibit A and
hereby made a part hereof.
3. Notice. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of said
hearing in substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibit A to be published in a newspaper of
general circulation in the City at least once more than 10 days but less than 30 days before the

hearing. The newspaper must be one of general interest and readership in the City and not one of
limited subject matter.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council
Member Kimber and, after full discussion thereof and upon a vote being taken thereon, the
following Council Members voted in favor thereof:

and the following voted against the same
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
REGARDING PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENTS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Chanhassen, Minnesota
will hold a public hearing at a meeting of the Council beginning at 7:00 P.M., on August 25,2025,
to be held at the Chanhassen City Hall, 7700 Market Blvd, Chanhassen, Minnesota, on the proposal
that the City abate property taxes levied by the City on the following property identified by the tax
parcel identification numbers listed below (the " Tax Abatement Property"):

The total amount of the taxes proposed to be abated by the City on the Tax Abatement
Property for a period not to exceed 20 years is estimated to be not more than $The
Council will consider the property tax abatement to finance the costs related to sitework, park and
community amenity improvement portions of the Civic Campus Project within the City (the
"Project").
The City proposes to issue general obligation bonds, a portion of which will be issued to
finance the Project, in an amount not to exceed $10,250,000.
